Professor Michelle Simmons
Michelle is an internationally acclaimed physicist and materials scientist, renowned for creating the field of atomic electronics.
For 25+ years, she invented the process for manufacturing in silicon at atomic scale. She developed both the world’s first single-atom transistor and the first integrated circuit made with atomic precision.
The SQC team is a recognised industry leader in atomic-scale manufacturing. These technologies are now being scaled to be applied to commercial paths such as AI acceleration, quantum simulation and quantum computing.
